If you've been grinding Diamond Dynasty in MLB The Show 26 this month, you've probably been watching June's performances just like I have and thinking—who is actually going to get the Lightning card this time? Every year this drop feels like a mini meta reset, and June was no different. Some players absolutely went off, and now the community is split between power hitters, ace pitchers, and surprise breakout stars. With the July 2 update coming up, I wanted to break down who I think has the strongest case for that Red Diamond Lightning card and what it could mean for our squads going forward.
