Metal Brackets don't take long to understand, but they can still slow down a run when a project suddenly asks for them. If you've been checking your ARC Raiders BluePrints stash and wondering why one simple part keeps showing up in your plans, the answer is usually the same: you need to hit the right map, then loot smart instead of wandering around hoping RNG feels kind.

What Metal Brackets Actually Matter For

In Arc Raiders, Metal Brackets sit in the Mechanical and Electrical item pool, which makes them easy to overlook until a project demands them. The big reason people hunt them is the Converging Paths project, since that's where they become a real progression item instead of just another scrap pickup.

They can also be recycled into Metal Parts, so they're not dead weight. That said, I'd treat them as a "keep first, break down later" item. A lot of players make the mistake of recycling the first stack they find, then end up back on the grind when a donation requirement pops up.

The Two Maps That Actually Pay Off

Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport are the maps that deserve your attention here. Both can drop Metal Brackets, but they don't feel equal in practice. Dam Battlegrounds is the safer bet only because it has one location that's much easier to check quickly, while Spaceport works better when you're already running a wider loot route.

Dam Battlegrounds is the fastest place to check first.
Spaceport is the better fallback when the Dam route is hotly contested.
Car hoods are the main thing you want to inspect on both maps.
The tunnel below the launch towers on Spaceport is worth a detour if your first sweep comes up empty.

What I wish I knew earlier is that Metal Brackets don't really reward random wandering. These are the kind of items you grab by making a short, repeatable route and then leaving before the run turns into a fight you didn't ask for.

The Dam Battlegrounds Car Is the Spot to Beat

The most reliable find is the car near the Power Generation Complex extraction on Dam Battlegrounds. Check the hood, not the rest of the vehicle, and don't overthink it. That spawn can usually hold around 2 to 3 Metal Brackets, plus Light Bulbs, which makes it a very efficient stop if you're only there for material progress.

There's a reason this spot gets talked about so much: it's the closest thing to a predictable Metal Bracket pickup in the current pool. The catch is that it's not a peaceful loot pocket. Aerial patrol activity can get nasty there, especially with Rocketeer, Wasps, and Hornets nearby. During Close Scrutiny, Vaporizers can also join the mess, so the area can go from "quick check" to "get out now" pretty fast.

Route Speed Risk
Dam car Fast High
Spaceport sweep Medium Medium

For casual players, that table basically tells the story. If you just need a few Brackets and don't want a messy fight, Dam is still the best first stop, but only if you're willing to loot fast and bail. If you're already running a longer route for other materials, Spaceport can fit better into the same pacing, even if it's less reliable per stop.

How I'd Run It Without Wasting Time

I'd load into Dam Battlegrounds first, head straight for the Power Generation Complex extraction area, and check the car hood immediately. If the spawn's there, grab it and leave before the patrols stack up. If it's missing or the area feels too hot, shift to Spaceport and work the car hoods plus the tunnel below the launch towers instead of forcing a bad fight.

If you still need more after that, keep the stack for Converging Paths and only recycle the extras once the project is done. That's the cleanest way to handle the grind, and if your stash is already stretched thin, it can be easier to buy ARC Raiders Items than to burn an evening chasing one more stubborn drop.
